From Sunday 1 August we are waiting for you at the Benedictine Monastery of San Nicolò l’Arena to guide you inside the jewel of the late Sicilian Baroque with a new timetable. Guided tours, organized by Officine Culturali, will take place: Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00, a guided tour every hour.
Officine Culturali will walk with you on a journey through time that goes from the present day to the ancient Romans, thanks to the contemporary restoration of the architect Giancarlo De Carlo. Trough luxurious gardens and maze like corridors, we will walk across the two cloisters, the sixteenth-century basement, the eighteenth-century wing made by the architect Vaccarini with its kitchens and cellars. On the weekends and holidays the guided tours will be enriched by the visit of what were once the sumptuous apartment of the Benedictine abbot.
To participate in the guided tours, reservations are required by calling 0957102767 or 3349242464 every day from 9:30 to 18:00 (also via WhatsApp) or by writing an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
NB: As required by the law decree of 23 July 2021, starting from 6 August access to museums, other institutes and places of culture and exhibitions is only allowed to people with one of the COVID-19 green certifications.
